This is the one hundred and ninth in a series of videos in which I engage in some storytelling about my own personal experiences, relationships, realizations, and life. Sometimes these might connect with my profession as a philosopher, but often that won't be the case.
In this video, I discuss how I got one of the first models available of the Apple iPad back when I taught at Fayetteville State University, and our school was invited to participate in a pilot program, Apple supplied FSU with a number of iPads and our IT department signed them out to us faculty members in order to see whether they would have any useful applications for classroom teaching. The answer turned out to be no, but they were useful for some other matters, and many students, faculty, and staff seemed fascinated with the technology.
