We start the morning feeding the baby pig and doing everything we can to keep it warm and alive, including running all the heat lamps, heat pads, and equipment using our Jackery power station. With the cold weather and everything happening so fast, every minute mattered. Not long after, we realized something was seriously wrong with the sow. What we thought would be a normal situation turned into an emergency, and we had to call the vet out immediately. The vet performed ultrasounds and went inside to check if anything was stuck or causing complications. It was intense, stressful, and honestly hard to watch, but we needed answers fast. We even tried putting the baby pig back with its mom, hoping for the best, but she was not having it and made that very clear. This is real homestead life — sometimes things don’t go as planned, and you just do the best you can with what you have. Thanks for watching and supporting us through the highs and the lows.
