When a Loved One is Dying

Published: February 26, 2026
Video Description
When someone you love is dying, the stress is overwhelming. Your brain goes into overdrive. You question everything. You wonder if you’re doing enough. You replay conversations. You try to control what you can’t control.
And later, when the noise settles, many families say the same thing to me: I wish I hadn’t worried so much about that.
In this video, I’m sharing the most common regrets I hear after a loved one dies — especially around food, rest, saying the right thing, doing everything perfectly, guilt, and those quiet in-between moments that don’t seem important at the time.
We’ll talk about why forcing food often causes more harm than good. Why sleep is part of the body’s natural process. Why you don’t have to find profound words. Why every small change doesn’t mean an emergency. Why doing everything “right” isn’t the goal. Why guilt shows up the way it does. And why the quiet moments matter more than you think.
When dealing with any medically related events or medical emergencies, please communicate with your primary health care provider.
