Fur Baby Friday: Meet Maverick, a big dog with a bigger heart

Maverick, a 1-year-old male Great Pyrenees, stopped by Good Day Columbus for this week’s Fur Baby Friday with Brittany Williams from Columbus Humane. She says Maverick’s story is bittersweet—but they’re hopeful the next chapter will be a happy one. Maverick came into the shelter through Columbus Humane’s Field Services department after his owner made the difficult decision to surrender him. According to the organization, the owner was struggling to provide the care Maverick needed and ultimately chose to do what was best for the dog. Despite that rocky start, Maverick has proven to be an affectionate and friendly companion.
