The suspect now faces an attempted murder charge and the possibility of additional prison time because of a lengthy, violent criminal history. De’quan Harrison is accused of stabbing another man Saturday at the Family Dollar on Main Street in Newark. Court records state that despite someone attempting to stop the attack, the victim was taken into immediate surgery with a stab wound to the neck and multiple other wounds. “This is an unprovoked stabbing with multiple intensive other marks with a knife,” a prosecutor said in court at Harrison's arraignment. Harrison is being held in jail on a $1 million bond. He is charged with attempted murder, a charge that could bring up to 11 years in prison.
