It goes without saying that the 90's were a fun time for PC gaming, but the vibes weren't so 'off the charts', or at least we didn't think so. That was until Silverstone dropped the FLP02, a modern take on retro styling and man, it hits different!
Sure, we've occasionally seen 5.25" drive bays on modern PC cases, such as the Fractal Design POP series, but this one offers three of them. Blu-Ray player? Check. Floppy drive? Check. The list goes on. Combine the heavy nostalgia with that beige / ivory aesthetic and it doesn't get much better.
We really wanted to embrace gaming-focussed hardware with this one and ROG Strix felt perfectly appropriate. With the side panel fitted, nothing to see here. Fancy flexing on your friends? Remove the side panel and BAM, let the heavy breathing commence.

Building a Modern PC with a retro twist might not be for everybody, but when executed correctly this case can become a masterpiece filled with conversation and throwback vibes. Silverstone have done an excellent job with this and we'd love to see a Micro-ATX 'under monitor' tower in the near future too!
