We recently challenged active individuals over 50 with a balance exercise that proved more difficult than it appeared. This type of balance training is crucial for fall prevention, helping to improve stability and overall senior fitness.
Balancing with your eyes closed can help when walking in the evening or at night. When you can't rely on vision as strongly, the rest of your body has to work to keep you upright. This quick test can let you know how your balance is with your eyes closed.
Even seemingly simple exercises can significantly contribute to better balance, which is a key aspect of physical therapy and joint health for any age. You might be surprised at how challenging this test can be!
