Our goal was the ultimate challenge: the Trout Trifecta. After snowmobiling to remote lakes and setting up my canvas wall tent, the action started on Day-1 when I landed a Haliburton Gold lake trout—a genetically unique glacial relic found only in these waters. Throughout this ice fishing adventure, we battle freezing temperatures and travel cross-country to find Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Brook Trout all in one trip. This is remote Ontario ice fishing and winter survival at its finest. I have my Dog North along on the adventure too!
