Welcome back Jam Fam to another Large Family Meals of the Week and whatever else is going on around here haha 🤣 !! This week we are dealing with temperatures at zero and below and our first big snow and ice storm in Virginia in many many years. We are prepping for possible power outages, stocking up emergency water, firewood, and more. We cook up massive amounts of homemade Whole Foods meals on a budget including a 20 quart roaster oven of homemade beef stew, slow cooker pork loin, roasted root vegetables like potatoes and carrots, jasmine rice made in the slow cooker using my homemade broth, and lots of simple Whole Foods from scratch cooking for my family of 10. For large family breakfasts we keep things simple with gluten free oatmeal, banana pancakes topped with almond butter, eggs, and homemade from scratch muffins pulled from the freezer. You will also see me reheating Whole Foods leftovers for quick meals while working and keeping food moving for our household.
