* (Disclaimer: The content in this video is intended for educational and informational purposes only) Webster, Massachusetts — On Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, at approximately 3:43 p.m., Webster Police Officers assigned to the evening shift, along with Webster EMS and the Webster Fire Department, responded to Advanced Auto Parts on East Main Street for a report of a man trapped under a vehicle that had fallen on him. Upon arriving in the parking lot, Officer Nicholas Caruso retrieved a car-jack from inside the store to lift the vehicle off the victim. The victim’s upper body was crushed under the vehicle. He was unresponsive and appeared not to be breathing. First Responder personnel were able to use the car jack to lift the vehicle. Officers then pulled the victim from underneath the vehicle, which is when he started breathing again. The victim was ultimately transported to UMASS Webster by Webster EMS before being transferred to UMASS University Hospital in Worcester. Webster Police Detectives also responded to the scene. It was learned that the victim had used his own jack to lift the vehicle in the parking lot to examine an issue that appeared to be underneath it. The jack gave out, causing the vehicle to fall on the victim’s chest, trapping him underneath.
