Come along for a full day with me — the kind of day that reminded me I don't have to wait until life slows down to start feeling like me again. My husband left for a work trip, my mom is in town, and I decided to make the most of every single hour.
We start with an early morning — tea, Bible time, and journaling before the house wakes up. Then it's a quick get-ready, breakfast, dropping my husband off at the airport, and heading straight to the Nashville Zoo with my 1-year-old and my mom. If you've never taken a toddler to the zoo — buckle up. It's chaotic and magical all at once.
When nap time hit, I did something I rarely get to do: I went to the gym. And on the drive there, I got really honest about how hard it is to find time for yourself when you're a full-time work-from-home mom with no childcare. The balance is real, the struggle is real — but so is how good it feels when you finally just go.
The rest of the day was all about filling my cup — decorating for spring, making a protein smoothie in my Ninja Creami, whipping up homemade strawberry lemonade, cooking dinner, and doing a little self-care after bedtime. Sometimes the little things are everything.
