In this video I try a decorating technique I spotted on The Great Pottery Throw Down and test whether it can work on Resin Crete. Rather than ceramic paints, I wanted to see if the same idea could work using regular paints and pigments on a material that behaves very differently. I cast two Resin Crete bowls and run a comparison — one unsealed and one sealed with the JDiction matte sealer — to find out whether sealing first makes a difference to the results. Throughout the video I work through getting the bubble paint mix right, what happens when the ratios are off, and how the Resin Crete pigments perform when used this way.
