U.S style Mailbox

How to build a mailbox step by step. This DIY mailbox was a fun woodworking project that saved me hundreds of dollars. I could not find an online guide, plan or step by step tutorial on how to make a mail box so i made one to help everyone and enable them to do it yourself. It has a traditional American style but looks great with modern houses. Being in Australia, this style of mail box is not very common but definitely gives great street appeal. I saved more that half the asking price of $1400 for something similar by simply making it myself.
