Lately, tech has been going through it. Layoffs, fear, burnout, endless takes about the “death of the golden era.” I’ve made plenty of those videos myself and I still believe a lot of it. Tech isn’t what it used to be. But this video isn’t about what’s broken. It’s about taking a moment to acknowledge what’s still really, really good. In this video, I practice gratitude and list the things I genuinely love about my job in tech: the pay, the stability, the flexibility, the people, the trust, and the life it allows me to live. Not as motivation, not as advice, and not to flex, just as an exercise in appreciation. I feel incredibly lucky to do this work, at this moment in time, especially in an industry where so much feels uncertain. This is me reminding myself not to take it for granted.
