In this video, I head out to the central California coast to photograph a wide variety of scenes using an ultra-wide lens. From open dunes to the coastline and more abstract details, I focus on how ultra-wide landscape photography can change the way you see and compose a scene. Rather than chasing dramatic conditions, this shoot is about creativity, exploration, and learning to build strong compositions from the foreground up. Ultra wide lenses exaggerate space and distance, which means small choices in camera position, framing, and timing can make a big difference. Throughout the video, I share my approach to ultra-wide landscape photography, including how I look for foregrounds, simplify scenes, and create both traditional landscapes and more abstract images while working in one location.
