There are many terrifying zones in World of Warcraft, but there is one that stands above the rest. Amongst the dark forests of Northern Lordaeron lies a land where the Plague of Undeath found its origin, where a hidden school of Necromancers practices dark arts beneath a poisoned lake, and where a zealot Scarlet Crusade tries to hold out against an unforgiving tide of undead. Today I am discussing what I believe to be one of WoW's best zones in terms of its lore, tone and experience of exploring.
