Teleport your character to safety! In Part 54 of the Unreal Engine 5 Tutorial Series, we build a fully functional, interactive Sci-Fi Teleporter from scratch.
This lesson covers advanced Blueprint logic and visual polish. You will learn how to set up a multi-part Actor with Skeletal Meshes and Text Renders, handle player input via Collision Spheres, and create a "Power Up" sequence using Timelines. We’ll use the Timeline to drive a high-intensity Point Light effect and learn how to trigger Custom Events to disable player movement during the teleportation sequence. We even cover a quick tip on "trimming" animation frames directly inside Unreal!

In this Teleporter Blueprint tutorial, we cover:
- Actor Setup: Combining Static Meshes, Skeletal Meshes, and Point Lights into one Blueprint.
- Animation Tweaking: Deleting specific animation frames within the UE5 editor to fix mesh issues.
- Collision Logic: Using Overlap events to Enable/Disable player input and toggle UI prompts.
- Custom Events: Creating a dedicated "Teleport" event for cleaner, reusable logic.
- Timelines & Curves: Creating a 3-second light intensity swell with a custom float curve.
- Player Interaction: Disabling character movement and toggling visibility during the sequence.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and fixing collision issues on complex meshes.
