Sometimes the best thing we can do as artists is slow down and simply enjoy creating again. In this video I sit down in my craft room to draw and paint a dragon eye doodle, inspired by the beautiful textures and colors found in nature. Lately I’ve been trying to rediscover the joy of creating without pressure, expectations, or perfection. Art doesn’t need ideal paper, fancy tools, or a perfect plan — sometimes it just needs a quiet moment and a little curiosity. For me, drawing and painting has become a way to slow down, focus on the small details, and reconnect with the creative spark that first led me to become an artist. Dragons live in that imaginative space for me — symbols of the magic just beneath the surface of everyday life. This dragon eye was drawn and painted during one of our livestreams, where we spent time chatting, doodling, and enjoying the creative process together. At the end of the stream we even gave the artwork away to a viewer, because sometimes the most joyful art is the art we share.
