#SouthernCooking #SundayDinner #InstantPotRecipes
That’s a classic Southern "Sunday Supper" right there! Based on your video where you and Chris walk through making fried pork chops two ways, quick buttermilk biscuits, Instant Pot pinto beans, and creamed potatoes, here is a description tailored to your channel's "Cooking like Mama did" style:
Join me and Chris for a real Southern Sunday lunch! Today, we’re cooking up a hearty meal just like Grandma used to make. We’ve got crispy Fried Pork Chops (made two ways!), easy Buttermilk Biscuits using a mix, and my favorite Instant Pot Pinto Beans that come out perfect every time. To round it all out, we’re making smooth and creamy potatoes.
Whether you like your pork chops with just a simple salt and pepper flour coating or a seasoned egg wash, I’ll show you how to get that perfect crunch. Plus, I’m sharing my secret for the moistest biscuits (it’s all about that 500°F oven!) and how to get thick, delicious juice on your beans using the sauté button.
What’s on the menu today:
Fried Pork Chops: Two different batters to find your favorite.
Instant Pot Pinto Beans: A quick way to get that slow-cooked flavor with a nice thick juice.
Buttermilk Biscuits: Using a Southern mix for a quick but delicious side.
Creamed Potatoes: The ultimate comfort food side dish.
In this video, I’ll share tips on:
Why I use self-rising flour for the crunchiest coating.
The difference between rinsing and not rinsing your chops before battering.
Why soaking potatoes in water is a must-do step.
How to regulate your heat when frying in a skillet.

MASTER COOKBOOK RECIPE # 493 PORK CHOPS, FRIED
Ingredients:
1/2-inch-thick bone in pork chops
Steak seasoning, Weber Steak n Chop
ground black pepper
salt
roasted garlic seasoning, Bidia
1-1/2 cups self-rising flour
corn or vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
Preheat a large skillet. Season chops without rinsing. If rinsed, dry thoroughly. Season one side, dip in beaten egg, then coat in flour from a shallow dish. Coat both sides, set on a platter, and rest for 10 minutes. Add 1/2 inch of corn oil to skillet. Fry for 3 minutes per side on medium-high, or 5 minutes for thicker cuts, adjusting heat to prevent browning too fast.
Tip: Pork chops should reach a minimum of 150°F internal temperature.
If you do not rinse the chops, you do not need the egg wash, because they have fat on the ouside and flour will cling to them.
