What we didn’t expect was one of the most powerful stories we’ve heard behind a food business. The owner opened Spuddies just nine months ago after turning his life around through recovery and faith. Inspired by the book Faith Like Potatoes, he built this shop from scratch with a mission bigger than just baked potatoes. Scripture on the walls. Worship music playing. Community first. It felt less like fast food… more like soul food. The day took an unexpected turn with some chaos outside involving a dog, which made things emotional and intense for a moment.
