Alone on a business section of roadway!!! Dark evening on the shoulder of an Interstate at a major intersection performing a "tractor swap" tow. This is every tow operator's most dangerous situation and, unfortunately, sometimes has catastrophic consequences. When no police agency or traffic control assistance is available, how do you protect yourself? Here are some of the steps I take. Are they enough?
