From there, I drive through the forest toward my stone house, with the drone following overhead. Once I arrive, there’s no long introduction — I get straight to work. I start by preparing oak planks reclaimed from old wine barrels. I sand them, cut them to size, and assemble two sturdy and practical bar stools. Next, I install an electric motor and spit inside the outdoor wood-fired oven, split firewood, light the fire, and get the cooking area ready. I picked up a young lamb from a local butcher — 13 kilograms already cleaned and ready for roasting. I season it with Himalayan salt and secure it to the spit. Once the oven reaches temperature, the lamb cooks for three and a half hours — slowly, as the winter afternoon settles in. In the end, it turns out exactly right: crisp skin, juicy meat, and a perfectly slow-cooked meal.
