It's known for epic ridgelines and long climbs and descents through beautiful native forests, and is considered a New Zealand bucket list ride. At 32 miles with 5300 feet of climbing, it's by no means the biggest single-day ride we've done, but due to the challenging terrain and large amount of climbing, many people elect to do the route over multiple days, staying in one of the huts along the track. But because, as you all know, we have a problem, we’re going to do it in a single day.
