⭐️ Ingredients:
~ any cut of porkchops (at least 8 to 10 pieces)
~ 1 20 oz can dole pineapple chunks in 100% pineapple juice
~1 20 oz can dole pineapple slices in 100% pineapple juice (double pineapples if making more)
~light brown sugar
~granulated sugar
~salt
~1 sazon seasoning packet
~ garlic powder
~onion powder
~1 onion soup mix packet
⭐️ Directions:
-preheat oven to 350
-Wash meat
-season meat with 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 packet sazon, 1 tablespoon of both garlic and onion powder, mix, set aside
-open both cans of pineapples and drain ALL juice into a mixing bowl
-in a baking pan (size depending on portion) lay the pineapple slices in a single layer along the bottom of pan
-lay seasoned porchops on top of that layer of pineapples
-In the mixing bowl, add 1 1/2 packed cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, and the onion soup mix packet into pineapple juice
-whisk until mostly dissolved
-pour mixture over chops in pan (don’t overfill, chops should be mostly covered but not at the rim)
-now add pineapple chunks on top
-cover with foil and let bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until meat is tender (may remove foil for the last 5 to 8 minutes and set to broil if a little crust is wanted and more juice evaporates for thicker sauce)
Can be paired with white rice and even buttery mashed potatoes.
