What if Frieza always trained? It’s been 5 years since I last covered this topic so let’s cover what’s changed. And since we don’t know how old Frieza is, I think it’s best to start at the beginning, which for most Dragon Ball stories is the destruction of Planet Vegeta. The plan was for Frieza to eradicate the Saiyans, ridding himself of the threat of a Saiyan uprising as well as removing the possibility of a Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan God being born to lead them. Luckily, Frieza was able to get Beerus’ permission who was happy to have the upstart emperor take care of some destruction for him while he prepared for his next nap. However, in this version of the story the destruction of Planet Vegeta and the Saiyans isn’t nearly enough to ensure his long lasting rule over the Universe - he needs to surpass the two people his father had always warned him about - Majin Buu and the God of Destruction Beerus himself.
