When it comes to luxury Swiss made automatic divers from $5000 to $10,000, it's difficult to beat the big three—Rolex Submariner, Omega Seamaster, and Tudor Pelagos. But under that price point, the water gets a little murky. As discussed in my previous video, Tudor's vintage inspired Black Bay collection over the last decade has filled this void with a never ending assortment of variants to such an extent that I lost interest. But lo and behold, the Black Bay 54 that came out in 2025 is somehow still utterly confused yet packed with charm, and to some extent, has won over this Black Bay skeptic. M79000N-0001) as I investigate this hot mess of a watch to figure out why despite so many negatives, there's some nifty little details and design work going on that have me questioning watches at and under the $4000 price point, and wondering if this is perhaps the best choice in such an oversaturated market.
