We're back on the pre-emissions 160 excavator, and this time we're tackling the broken quick coupler. The bucket has been stuck on this machine since we brought it to the shop, so it’s time to do some electrical detective work and hydraulic testing to find out why. After wiring up a custom fuse and getting the solenoids firing, we break out the porta-power and discover a set of blown seals bypassing fluid in the cylinder. Watch as we tear down the quick coupler, install fresh seals from McMaster-Carr, test the pressure, and finally get this bucket moving like it should.
