It’s known for calm blue water, warm climate and relaxed seaside atmosphere - at least, normally it is. Our luck on this trip with weather hasn’t helped us, but you’’’ likely get the classic experience if you visit - there’s 144 islands to explore. The main towns of Paihia, Russell, and Kerikeri all have something unique going on and in normal conditions have plenty of things to do.
