Trying to camp for free in New Zealand is a lot more difficult than we had initially realised, and after a few RV and campervan trips already (Also being from New Zealand!) you'd think we'd know better by now. In this vlog we break down how freedom camping actually works in NZ, the self-containment rules that restrict camping for free, a couple of helpful apps that saved the day haha and what we'd do differently next time.
