I just arrived in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and the first 24 hours here completely blew me away. After landing at Chiang Mai Airport and checking into our hotel, we headed straight out to explore one of Thailand’s most cultural cities. Our first stop was the beautiful Silver Temple (Wat Sri Suphan), one of the most unique temples in Chiang Mai with its incredible handcrafted silver details. From there, we rented a motorbike and went searching for some of the city’s most famous local food. Of course, we had to try the legendary Khao Soi, Chiang Mai’s famous Northern Thai curry noodle soup – and it absolutely lived up to the hype. After exploring the Old Bazaar and local markets in Chiang Mai, we decided to escape the city and ride into the mountains to discover a hidden jungle temple called Wat Pha Lat. This incredible temple sits deep in the forest and honestly felt like stepping into an Indiana Jones movie, surrounded by jungle, ancient stone structures, and peaceful mountain scenery. To finish the day, we rode back into the city and explored the lively Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, one of the best night markets in Thailand where you’ll find street food, souvenirs, and local vendors every single evening.
