Welcome to Bangkok, Thailand, one of the biggest and most vibrant cities in Southeast Asia! In this Bangkok travel vlog, we share our honest first impressions of Bangkok as we begin our Thailand adventure in the modern Sathorn district, where we booked our accommodation for the first few nights. We randomly explore the streets of Bangkok, soaking in the atmosphere, street life, traffic chaos, and towering skyscrapers. We even stop by a local bike rental shop with plans to rent a scooter and explore more of the city — but then the typical Thailand tropical rain hits hard! 🌧️ Heavy rain showers are common in Bangkok, especially during rainy season, so we quickly adapt and turn it into a mall day in Bangkok instead. Madeleine needs to pick up a few essentials for her yoga teacher training, which gives us the perfect excuse to escape the storm and experience one of Bangkok’s massive shopping malls. To finish the night, we try Bangkok street food, grabbing dinner from a vendor that seemed popular with tourists. While it wasn’t the most authentic Thai food experience (we definitely found better local spots later 👀), it was still part of the adventure — and that’s what first impressions are all about!
