One thing that has remained consistent for Doug over the years is the powerful tone he gets from the original EMG PJ Sets in his Spector basses. With this legacy in mind, EMG set out to recreate and recapture the magic of that original set from the 80’s with his new signature set. Previously only available in his Signature Spector Bass, the Doug Wimbish signature PJ Set was created using Doug’s exact EMG PJ Set that he has been using since the early 80’s. By listening to the PJ Set in his 80’s Spector bass, EMG was able to recreate the nostalgic tone bass players originally fell in love with.
