What looked like a straightforward flooring project quickly turned into a test of patience, precision, and skill. From intricate cuts along uneven stone walls to carefully planning a seamless tile flow with no thresholds, every millimeter mattered. This was easily one of the most technical parts of our off-grid home renovation so far. We also begin experimenting with epoxy grout—a more durable but far more complex alternative to traditional grout—and quickly realize we may have taken on more than we expected.
