Video Description
Three months. No videos. No shed. Just life piling up until the thing I love most felt completely out of reach.
This isn’t just a woodworking video. It’s about what happens when you’re overwhelmed, burnt out, and can’t seem to show up for yourself — and what it takes to finally get moving again.
For me? It was two soaking wet pallets dragged in from the rain.
In this video I break down where I’ve been — the day job, the cyclones, the personal stuff, the editing nightmare — and how doing the smallest possible thing with my hands was what pulled me out of it. I also build a timber storage cart from scratch using nothing but those two pallets. Skeleton frame design, open shelves for dust control, full sheet ply storage, and on wheels. Designed and built entirely from free reclaimed timber.
If you’ve got something sitting half-started somewhere — in the shed, in the garage, in your head — this one’s for you.

THE BUILD — Timber Storage Cart from Pallet Wood
This is a beginner-friendly pallet wood project that solves one of the most annoying shed problems — where to store a full sheet of plywood. The cart is built from two standard pallets, uses basic tools, and the skeleton frame design means dust falls through instead of settling. If you’re looking for pallet wood projects to get started with woodworking, this is exactly the kind of build that proves you don’t need expensive timber or a fully equipped workshop to make something genuinely useful.
Techniques covered:
— Breaking down and preparing wet pallet timber
— Half-lap joints using tenon saw, chisel, and palm router
— Skeleton frame construction from reclaimed timber
— Designing for dust management in a small workshop
— Building on a budget with free materials
