Bondi Magnet

Today we’re in Union City, Georgia, following the last known leads in the disappearance of Valerie Smiley, a mother of four who vanished on June 28, 2024. Valerie was last seen leaving Chattanooga around 2:00 PM in her red 2004 Ford Expedition (TN plate 079BFQD) with a “TSU Mom” sticker on the passenger door, headed to her twin sons’ baseball game — but she never made it. Investigators later tracked her phone pinging in Georgia, so we spent the day scanning local ponds around Union City where those pings were reported. Then we received an email tip about a possible vehicle at a boat ramp farther away, so we headed out immediately to investigate. After getting sonar on a submerged car and checking it out, we confirmed it wasn’t Valerie’s Expedition — it appears to be a red 1980’s Camaro. Even though it wasn’t the answer we were hoping for, every vehicle we clear helps narrow the search as we keep pushing for Valerie and her family.
