I'm threw a ball in Chicago earlier this year (more details at salonsocietyofchicago.com ) and of course I needed something fabulous to wear! I decided to make mine out of silk duchesse from (saisilks in NYC) and used a 1890s walking skirt pattern to make the base of the skirt and an 1880s's bodice to make the 1901 bodice. I designed and digitized all the poppies myself, and used an old pattern from legendary Lacemaker - Felix Aubert to make the lace. (https://heaveninawildflower.tumblr.co...) All embroidery was done on a Baby Lock Venture and all machine sewing was done on a Baby Lock Jazz 2!
