Renovating my abandoned general store continues—and this week did NOT go as planned.
I started staining the ceiling joists and quickly realized it was a mistake. So I scrapped the plan, pivoted, and kept going. In this video, I continue installing a shiplap ceiling, test wood stain on exposed beams, and respond to comments from last week’s renovation progress.
If you’re renovating an abandoned building, installing shiplap, or deciding whether to stain ceiling beams or wood ceilings, this video will show you what worked, what didn’t, and what I changed.
