We're back in New Zealand, and this time we're doing the North Island properly. After exploring mostly the South Island on our last trip, we dedicate a full week to the region that most travelers skip entirely. Spoiler: they're wrong. Joined last minute by friends Claire and Peter (familiar faces from our Scotland video), we embark on a road trip through the Coromandel Peninsula, one of New Zealand's most beautiful and underrated regions. We stay in a stunning clifftop Airbnb, swim at a deserted beach, and dig our own natural hot spring jacuzzis at the famous Hot Water Beach, where geothermal water up to 64°C bubbles up through the sand. From there we kayak along the coast to the iconic Cathedral Cove, exploring sea caves and the famous rock arch at low tide. We drive south through the scenic seaside towns of the Coromandel, stopping at Mount Maunganui before heading inland to Rotorua - New Zealand's geothermal capital. We explore steaming colorful thermal pools, watch the Lady Knox Geyser erupt, try zorbing for the first time (invented right here in Rotorua in 1994), and take on a terrifying three-person giant swing. Throughout the trip we ask the big question: could New Zealand be the place we finally call home? ---------------------------------- We’re Oskar🧔🏻 and Dan👱🏻‍♂️, and we believe that anyone regardless of who they are deserves to live their dreams. For the past nine years, we’ve continued pushing boundaries by traveling and living all across the world, including places like Uganda, Brunei, and Saudi Arabia. In 2022, we reached a huge milestone by visiting 100 countries and we’re now on a mission to keep sharing our journey and hopefully make the world a little more open, compassionate, and peaceful along the way❤️ Thank you for being a part of the journey! ---------------------------------- - Instagram: www.instagram.com/oskaranddan - Music: http://share.epidemicsound.com/nqD7H ---------------------------------- New Zealand was our 100th country (first visited in December, 2022)🌍 Thank you for watching!🙏😍 00:00 Intro & arriving in New Zealand 01:00 Friends Claire & Peter join last minute 01:45 Renting a car & driving to Coromandel 04:35 Arriving in Coromandel 05:00 Dinner & first impressions 05:15 The Airbnb with an insane view 09:30 Morning & exploring the area 11:10 Driving & foreign license issues 12:55 Otāmā Beach 14:25 Hot Water Beach - building our own hot springs 17:05 Kayaking to Cathedral Cove 18:20 Cathedral Cove arch & caves 19:35 Post-kayak snacks (first class leftovers) 20:35 Morning swim - beach to ourselves again 22:25 Driving south & Mount Maunganui 23:35 New Airbnb tour 26:10 Rotorua & the geothermal pools 26:35 Lady Knox Geyser fail 27:15 Zorbing - finally trying it!! 29:15 Three-person swing (pure chaos) 30:30 Should we move to New Zealand?
