In this video, I'm in Beaver Creek, CO to explore what Vail Resorts has done to drive up the cost of skiing and what that means for new, first-time skiers over the next 10-20 years. It's easy to blame the rising costs on private equity and corporate takeovers, but running a ski resort is also one of the hardest businesses to run. If there's a year with no snow, you're out of luck. So, the mega-resorts try to offset that risk by bundling their mountains together and selling passes before the snow even touches the ground. What do you think is going to happen with the future of skiing? Is the increase in cost sustainable or do you think we are pricing out future generations from ever being able to learn how to ski? ------------------ Follow on social: Twitter / X: https://twitter.com/@GrantRudow Instagram: https://instagram.com/grantrudow TikTok: https://tiktok.com/@grantrudow ------------------ Includes music by Tom Fox – https://tomfox.site Motion Graphics by @createdaley Disclaimer: This video is for informational and entertainment purposes only.
