When we bought the property in June 2024 we quickly realised the only way to fix the damage was to strip the entire upstairs back to its bare bones. For the past six months it’s been completely open plan while we cleared out years of neglect. This weekend our goal was simple — build all the new stud walls in a single weekend. Starting with the smallest bedroom (which will become a walk-in wardrobe), we begin framing the rooms and insulating the external stone walls as we slowly bring this old farmhouse back to life. And by the end of the weekend… we finally have walls.
