So I was driving around the next morning just looking for places I could help out, and that's when I came across this property. The grass was already getting pretty long, and on top of that there was a big storm limb that had come down right in the front yard. So, I figured I'd go knock on the door and see what was going on. The homeowner answered and was actually pretty polite about it, but he let me know his brother was coming in a few days to take care of everything so he wasn't really looking for help. I told him I'd love to knock it all out that day completely free of charge and he didn't take long to think it over. Once he said yes, I got started cleaning up the edges, the curbs, the sidewalk, and the driveway, and then worked my way through all the tall grass across the yard. I also stacked all that storm debris up on the corner of the property because he mentioned the city out here actually comes by and picks that kind of thing up, which was something I didn't realize they did, and it made the whole cleanup way easier. He ended up heading out before I was finished, but he was already really happy with how the driveway and sidewalk were looking.
