I knocked on this door after seeing they needed a lot of help with their lawn. But, nobody answered at first, and I actually came back a few different days in a row because I knew someone lived here since every time I knocked the dogs inside would start going crazy. Eventually, the last time I came by, a young girl answered the door, and I explained that I’d love to clean the whole place up completely for free. She went to go call her mom first and once she got the okay, I got started right away. The front yard was definitely overgrown, but once I got everything mowed down and edged up, it completely opened the space back up, especially around the basketball hoop where the kids can actually play again. After that, I moved into the backyard and it was even worse back there. Trash was scattered all through the grass that I had to walk through multiple times just to pick up by hand. Even after that, my mower still managed to find a few hidden pieces, but little by little it all came together.
