From the road, it was one of the most overgrown properties we’ve seen in a while — weeds taking over the sidewalks, the driveway completely buried, and the house looking like no one had touched it in years. But when we got closer… something didn’t add up. The electricity was on.The AC unit was running.And yet, nobody came to the door. We ended up talking with a few neighbors nearby, and they told us this yard had been getting worse for a long time. Some of them were honestly frustrated because it had become such an eyesore on the street. That’s a big part of why my sons and I do this in the first place — not just to transform a yard, but to serve the people living around it and bring something neglected back to life. And as we kept talking to more neighbors, we started to piece together a deeper story behind why this place ended up like this.
