NO ONE Has SEEM them in YEARS… Then We Saw the Door OPEN I thought I was just showing up to clean an overgrown yard… but the moment I pulled into the driveway, something felt off. There was trash scattered out front, an old refrigerator lying in the yard, and thick bushes completely covering the windows. As I walked around the house, the backyard was even worse — trees and brush were down everywhere like it had been abandoned for years. When I approached the house, I noticed the lights were on inside… and the door was slightly cracked open. I knocked several times, but no one answered. At that moment, my heart sank. I was hoping and praying no one was inside hurt. So I walked over to the neighbor’s house hoping they could tell me what was going on with the place… but that conversation didn’t go the way I expected. We decided to start working on the property anyway, and not long after we began, things took a turn. That’s when I realized something was seriously wrong. What I learned next completely shocked me… but I also felt incredibly grateful to be there when it mattered most.
