I went back to the overgrown trailer with one goal: tear it down, haul it off, and clean the property up for the neighborhood. As we pulled in, we noticed fresh tracks around the trailer. That’s when it hit us… someone had been here recently. We’d already gotten several warnings from people in the area, but I felt like this still needed to be done. An older woman recently bought this property and wants to build a home here. And honestly, like any community, all they want is a clean, safe neighborhood. Wouldn’t you? Looking back… I probably should’ve listened to those warnings. Things got dangerous fast. Gas leaks. Signs of people hiding inside. And then the question that wouldn’t leave my head… Could someone really be living under this trailer? Part of me hoped they’d show up — not for trouble — but so I could try to help. When we looked underneath, we found heaters, fans, bedding… almost like a small colony. Someone had been living down there in the freezing cold. The only question was… are they still here?
