When I learned more about what she had been going through, I was honestly shocked. I didn’t realize just how much this backyard had swallowed the property. The overgrowth was so severe that she had been literally trapped inside her own home, unable to safely step outside. I tried reaching her several times but couldn’t get a response, so I decided to show up in person and see if she would answer. Thankfully, she did — and she was incredibly grateful I was there. When someone is already struggling, an environment like this certainly doesn’t help. So I brought the equipment, cleared the overgrown lawn, opened the space back up, and did what I could to restore access and peace of mind.
