From video: Radio Interference: New York Man Arrested For Interfering With Police & Emergency Radio Systems
Published: April 6, 2026

Video Description

In this special edition of BREAKING -Radio Dork News, A New York man has been arrested on several charges of using his two-way radio to make false reports to the Norwich Police Department. As reported by the WBNG website, on March 31, Norwich police arrested a 33 year old man on charges of obstructing governmental administration and making a terroristic threat. The arrest comes after an investigation that began in 2021, when the man allegedly sent false statements over Chenango County emergency services radio frequencies, including one transmission of, and I am quoting here, "shots fired, shots fired", which, according to police, caused a disruption to emergency services and contributed to public harm. During a traffic stop on March 31, police found multiple two-way radios in the man's car, which also had lighting that resembled emergency services lighting, which he was not authorized to use. According to the report by WBNG, all charges filed are state criminal charges unrelated to any FCC rules or regulations and there are no reports of any FCC involvement. And that is all the radio-dork news that is fit to print. Join me again next week, or sooner, when I may, or may not, do this again. ►Want to help support my channel?
