This week we got permission to metal detect an old colonial homesite built way back in the mid 1740s. The property owners weren’t aware of it ever being hunted before, so we thought this could be completely untouched ground. From the second we fired up the machines, it was obvious… this place had never been detected. The signals were nonstop, and the things coming out of the ground were some of the coolest and strangest finds we’ve had in years. From early coins, to the most bizarre relics, to bucket listers we’ve never found before, this place was like the House of Misfit Things, and they just kept coming!
