SUMMARY: In August, 2022, Afroman's home was raided by several members of the Adams County, Ohio Sheriff's Department based upon a "tip" from a not so confidential informant who said Foreman had kidnapped a woman and was keeping her in his basement (his home does not have a basement), drug possession & trafficking. In executing the warrant, law enforcement damaged Foreman's gate, banged his door down, took almost 5k from a suit pocket and gazed longingly at his mom's lemon pound cake on the kitchen counter, all of which was captured on Afroman's surveillance cameras. No charges resulted from the raid. Because the Sheriff's Dept scoffed at his attempts to be reimbursed for the damage to his property ( and some missing money) Afroman, a rapper best known for his breakout hit, 2000's "Because I Got High" created videos mocking some of the officers ( which went viral) and created merch with some of their likenesses, among other things. 7 of the Sheriff's Deputies & Sgts filed this civil lawsuit against Afroman for defamation and other torts, demanding all profits plus emotional damages. This trial is one of the craziest we have covered.
