Recovering This SUV Inches From Freeway Traffic! We received this call from CHP to assist in removing a Toyota RAV4 off a guardrail using a rotator. At this time of night, using a flatbed to get it from up top is so much more dangerous, because you'd have to close 2 lanes of traffic. Factoring in DUI drivers and poor visibility, the obvious solution is to close the lane below which is an onramp/trans road. Alex was dispatched in Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator. The 42' boom made this job super easy as he was able to boom out directly over the car and do a vertical lift. From there, it was swung all the way around 180 degrees and placed directly onto our flatbed, operated by Castro.
